Hoagie's Expressway
Derby, Vermont $
The lowdown
Hoagie's counter-service outpost inside a gas station/convenience store on the Route 5 commercial strip near I-91 exit 28, serving the same pizzas, subs, calzones, wraps and salads as the Newport original. Handy for travelers and pickup orders.

What people say
The word around town.
Reviewers like the quick, friendly counter service, consistent pizza and calzones and the convenient highway location. The gas-station setting means little atmosphere, and vegetarians find the choices thin.
