NEKNow monthly giveaway

Official rules.

1. Sponsor

The giveaway is run by NEKNow (neknow.com) ("Sponsor"). Questions: [email protected]. It is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Instagram, Meta, X, TikTok or any business listed on NEKNow.

2. Who can enter

Legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 or older when they enter. Sponsor's owners and employees and their immediate families and households can't win.

3. Giveaway periods

Each calendar month is a separate giveaway, running from 12:00:00 a.m. Eastern Time on the first day of the month to 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern Time on the last day. Entries and bonus entries count only toward the month they're made in.

4. How to enter

Fill in the giveaway form on any business's page on neknow.com with your name and email and submit it. Each submission is one entry for that business. Limit: one entry per person per business per month. You may enter for different businesses. Entries made by script, bot or other automated means, or with multiple or fake identities or emails, are void.

5. Bonus entries

After entering you get a personal link to that business's page. Each distinct visitor who opens your link during the same month earns you one bonus entry, up to 10 bonus entries per base entry per month. Your own visits, automated traffic, link previews and visits Sponsor reasonably believes are fraudulent don't count. You don't need to share anything to enter or win.

6. Drawing and odds

Within about 10 days after each month ends, Sponsor draws one winning entry at random from all eligible entries for that month, with each entry (base and bonus) counting once. Odds depend on the number of eligible entries received.

7. Prize

One prize per month: a $100 gift certificate to the business named in the winning entry (approximate retail value $100). If that business doesn't offer gift certificates, the prize is $100 of prepaid credit or a tab at that business. If the business has closed or can't honor it, Sponsor will substitute a prize of equal value at another Northeast Kingdom business of the winner's choice. Not exchangeable for cash. Taxes, if any, are the winner's responsibility.

8. Winner notification

The potential winner is notified by email and must reply within 7 days to confirm eligibility and claim the prize. If they don't respond, aren't eligible or don't comply with these rules, the prize is forfeited and an alternate winner may be drawn.

9. Business benefit

The business named in the winning entry also receives a complimentary 90-day featured listing on NEKNow. This is a separate thank-you from Sponsor, not part of any entrant's prize. Businesses don't sponsor the giveaway and can't enter on their own behalf.

10. Publicity and privacy

By claiming the prize, the winner agrees that their first name, last initial and chosen business may be shown on NEKNow and its social media, where permitted by law. Entry information is used only to run the giveaway and contact entrants about it. It isn't sold, and you won't be added to any mailing list.

11. General conditions

Sponsor may disqualify anyone who tampers with the entry process or violates these rules, and may cancel, modify or suspend the giveaway if fraud, technical failure or anything else beyond its control affects its fairness. By entering you release Sponsor and the listed businesses from liability for any loss arising from your participation or the prize, except where prohibited by law. Sponsor's decisions are final.
